Perser xx

Excerpted from American Hanoverian Spring 1997 Issue

Perser xx introduced refinement and soundness to the Hanoverian breed. He raced from two to five years of age, making 38 lifetime starts, all in Germany. He won six races, and placed second five times, including a very good second in the classic German 2,000 Guineas over a distance of 1,000 meters.

In 1981, Perser xx was listed in the Top 10 sires of Hanoverians based on earnings, with progeny earnings of DM 532,004. Two other Thoroughbreds appeared in the same Top 10: the foundation sires Der Loewe xx and Ladykiller xx. Perser's progeny won in both dressage and showjumping. He was listed by the German Verband in 1990 in the Top 10 sires of Verden Auction horses, having 58 elite auction horses.
